2 PRIMARY TEACHERS required from 1/9/13:

 

Class teacher for KS2 (full time and permanent)

Class teacher for Nursery (mornings) and PPA cover across the school (afternoons) (full time fixed term contract 1 year)

 

Salary: Teachers Pay Scale (M1 – UPS3)
NOR: 260 (ages 3-11)

 

Pontllanfraith Primary School is situated in the well-established community of Pontllanfraith near Blackwood. The school is within easy travelling distance of Cardiff, Newport and the Heads of the Valley. Pontllanfraith Primary School is forward thinking and has high expectations and ambitions.

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Pontllanfraith Primary School are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic, vibrant and creative teachers with evidence of high quality teaching to join their hard-working, committed team at their happy and successful primary school from September 2013.

 

The successful candidates will:

*be excellent classroom practitioners, motivating and engaging learners through the delivery of high quality learning experiences;
*be caring, full of enthusiasm and make our children’s learning fun and enjoyable;
*be highly motivated and hold equally high expectations of our children’s achievements, their behaviour, and skills development;
*be able to effectively use high levels of I.C.T. to enhance their teaching and our children’s skills;
*have an in-depth knowledge of statutory curriculums and effective Pedagogy;
*establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, the Governing Body and wider community.

Expertise in any of the following will be advantageous: Mathematics, Music or Welsh.

Closing date for applications: Monday 29th April 2013.

Short listing will take place on Thursday 2nd May 2013.

A visit to the school and lesson observations will be arranged with short listed candidates, week commencing Tuesday 7th May 2013. Please note that 2 references will be required before interview, these may be enclosed with the application form. You should enclose a letter of application with the application form.   The letter of application should consist of no more than 2 sides of A4.   You need to explain why you are a suitable candidate to join our talented and hardworking team and indicate which of the two posts you would like to considered for (if not both).
