The Operations Group within the Planning, Regeneration and Economic Development Department of Caerphilly County Borough Council are seeking to employ a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed Clerical Assistant / Receptionist to cover a seconded member of staff for an eighteen month fixed term contract. The role is based primarily in the Tredomen Innovation and Technology Centre on Tredomen Park. However the successful candidate will be required to assist in the Tredomen Gateway or Tredomen Business and Technology Centre on the Park as and when required. The successful applicant will join a committed team that carries out work that is varied and challenging, requiring excellent customer service skills in a face-to-face setting and on the telephone. Excellent IT skills are also essential. The current structure has six members of staff look after the three business centres of 25 private sector businesses with 260 employees, three training suites, nine meeting rooms as well as supporting the Council’s Economic Development Division. Some knowledge of Council Departments and an ability to seek information from a variety of sources to signpost customers is required, as is the ability to work in a pressured and busy environment and a desire to achieve a high standard of work ethic.
